Contemporary Research's FeatherTouch system has become a popular choice for airplane entertainment systems. And for good reason - the compact, elegant panels fit easily into small spaces and two-way control is carried over the same RF coax as the video and music channels. In recent years, custom systems integrators have discovered that FeatherTouch panels and technology can be a great solution for many other applications, including:

FeatherTouch Panels
FeatherTouch panels are compact, highly customized control solutions that fit into small spaces with ease. All feature always-on LED illumination that changes color to indicate a button press or control state. Buttons are custom-engraved and are offered with amber/green or red/green LEDs. The FT6 panel includes 6 control buttons, an amber 8-character LED display, and an optional headset input. FT1, FT2, and FT3 panels offer 1, 2, or 3 illuminated control buttons.

AV Entertainment Interface
For larger-scale entertainment distribution systems, the FeatherTouch panels can connect to our FT Interfaces, which can feature onboard FM tuners for music channels, an CATV tuner for distributed AV sources, inputs for local A/V sources, and FT-series panels for interactive control.
FT Interfaces network with a central Head-End Network Controller, receiving 2-way commands and feedback through the same RF cable that carries CATV and FM entertainment channels. By providing a single-cable solution for media channels and control, FeatherTouch delivers high-quality entertainment and simplifies systems integration.
Other control options are available to integrate special applications, including lighting control and service call capabilities.
